Despite being appointed under the same ISSE scheme, through the same advertisement and recruitment process in 2025, the KGBV teachers in East Siang and Upper Siang districts receive lower salaries compared to their counterparts in other districts. This inequality demands immediate attention and rectification.
The unequal treatment feels discriminatory, affecting our morale and dedication to teaching. I urge the education minister and the commissioner of education to investigate this matter urgently.
I also request the AAPSU, the Adi Students’ Union, and the district students’ unions of East Siang and Upper Siang to intervene and support our cause.
