LEKHI, 21 Feb: The English department of Arunachal University (AU) here organised a poster-making competition to mark the Statehood Day on Friday.

The competition, conducted under the theme ‘My Arunachal: Celebrating our history, cultural heritage, and achievements’, aimed to provide students with a platform to express their creativity and artistic talents while reflecting on the rich history, vibrant culture, and remarkable progress of Arunachal Pradesh.

The participating students showcased innovative ideas and artistic excellence through colourful and thought-provoking posters, highlighting the significance of the Statehood Day.

AU English HoD Minam Riyang encouraged the students to actively engage in such creative activities that promote cultural awareness and pride.

AU Vice-Chancellor Prof NV Sangvikar emphasised that the event should reflect the spirit of unity, creativity, and cultural pride. He encouraged the students to focus on originality, relevance to the theme, and meaningful representation of Arunachal’sheritage and achievements.

Student Welfare Dean Anurag Tiwari, Pro-Chancellor Dr Suresh Verma, and Academics Dean Sohan Kumar Jha also spoke.

The competition witnessed an overwhelming response and concluded successfully, reinforcing the spirit of unity, creativity, and celebration among the students.
