ITANAGAR, May 24: The All Arunachal Pradesh Workers’ Union (AAPWU) has expressed opposition to the government order for a one-day service break in a year for casual staffers in the power department.
In a representation to the governor, the union said the government order, dated 12 July, 2017, was against the interests of the casual workers of the department.
“It will also hamper in maintaining seniority of the workers and deprive them of service benefit,” the union said, and appealed for reconsideration of the order in the greater interest of the worker community.
