SILUK, May 27: The people of Siluk village in East Siang district, under the initiative of the Silukian Welfare Kebang (SWK) felicitated Masanda Magdalin Pertin and Dr Lenong Lego in a function at the community hall here on Sunday.
Pertin cracked the UPSC Civil Service Examination, securing the 443rd rank, while Dr Lego cracked the GDMO Exam conducted by the APPSC recently, securing the 55 rank.
The SWK presented a memento along with a local Adi coat to each of the achiever as a token of love and appreciation.
In his address, DDSE Jongge Yirang said “only hard-working and laborious persons get such achievement.”
Mebo ADC Sangita Yirang Pertin advised the young generation to follow the footsteps of the achiever duo, while retired EAC Rerin Yirang said “it is the proudest moment not only for the villagers and Mebo area but for Arunachal Pradesh as a whole.”
Silukian Welfare Kebang president Osup Ratan appealed to the achievers to help and guide the young generation who aspire to become doctors and civil servants.
Among other, Siluk GB Ashik Yirang and Siluk ASM Delem Damin also spoke.
