ITANAGAR, Jun 19: Over 300 participants will be stretching their bodies in various yoga postures during the International Yoga Day (IYD) celebration which will be organised at Chimpu ground near here on 21 June by the Arunachal Pradesh Police (APP).
Yoga sessions will also be organised in every district on the day. More than 8000 APP officers and their families are expected to participate. The day will also mark the culmination of the APP’s month-long activities under its ‘Wellness month’ programme.
During the last month, the APP, in association with the APP Welfare Society, organized free yoga practice sessions, health check-up camps, plantation drives, family fitness sessions, body conditioning and strengthening exercises, and ‘train-the-trainer’ sessions for families of police officers and dignitaries across all 23 districts as part of the ‘Wellness month’.
