ROING, Jul 4: A day-long financial literacy awareness programme (FLAP) was organized by the Arunachal Pradesh Rural Bank, Roing branch on Wednesday here at Rayang village under Lower Dibang Valley district.
Around 50 participants, comprising mainly farmers and self help groups were present in the programme.
APRB Roing Branch Manager, PB Chetry asked all the participants to understand the deliberations of the programme and try to extract maximum benefit out of it.
He briefed the gathering about different types of accounts that can be maintained in a bank. He also spoke on social security schemes, like PMJDY, PMSBY, and PMJJBY and APY.
NABARD DDM Nitya Mili informed the gathering about financial inclusion and financial planning. He also briefed the participants about the CM flagship schemes, like CMKRY, DDUBY & DDUSY and GoI schemes, such as Mudra Yojana, SUI, DEDS and NLM.
A total of 23 PMJDY accounts were opened during the programme. Few Rupay debit cards were also handed over to the customers by the APRB on the occasion.
