SAGALEE, Jul 10: The Papum Pare district unit of the Abo Tani Clan Organization (ATCO) held the ‘Abo Tani Yatra’ awareness campaign here on Monday.
The yatra is being carried out in various districts of the state to highlight the demand for creation of the Department of Abo Tani Tradition & Cultural Affairs (DATCA).
Interacting with the district unit members and others, ATCO president Yamra Taya called on the indigenous people of the state to stick to their traditions, faith and culture.
Stressing on the demand for the creation of DATCA, he said it is required to preserve the tradition, faith and culture of the Tani community, and to generate job opportunities in the department for youths of the Tani clan.
