ROING, Aug 17: Lower Dibang Valley Deputy Commissioner Mitali Namchoom stressed on providing the health care centres in the district with all the basic necessities like electricity, drinking water, internet, etc, under the Mukhya Mantri Rogi Kalyan Kosh (MMRKK) scheme of the state government.
Attending a meeting of the District Health Society here on Thursday, Namchoom said priority should be given to provide electricity connection, water connection, drinking water facility, toilets, proper roofing, and internet connectivity in the health care centres.
The MMRKK aims to provide decentralized planning at the district level and a flexible pool of resources for the maintenance of district hospitals, CHCs and PHCs, and to bridge critical infrastructure gap to improve the quality of health care in the state.
Namchoom also stressed the need to conduct health camps, provide guidance and counselling to drug addicts for de-addiction, procure medicines, etc.
DMO Dr R Tatan highlighted the guidelines for the MMRKK as mentioned in the budget. He said although the finalized guidelines have not been notified, a tentative action plan for Lower Dibang Valley has been prepared. (DIPRO).
