ZIRO, Aug 26: A cultural exchange programme between Nyishis and Apatanis of Lower Subansiri district was held here on Saturday.
During the programme, which was organised by the district unit of the Indigenous Faith and Cultural Society of Arunachal Pradesh (IFCSAP), ADC Nending Chatung called for documentation of indigenous rituals and hymns, and exhorted the youths to be forerunners in preserving the age-old traditions.
As part of the programme, traditional music, traditional antique and literary competitions were held amongst various meder and nyider namlos.
Among others, NES president Bengia Tolum, engineers Nani Chilyang and Khoda Gyati, representatives from Tani Supun Dukun, NES, IFCSAP, and indigenous faith believers from across the district participated in the programme. (DIPRO)
