ITANAGAR, Sep 4: Governor BD Mishra and Chief Minister Pema Khandu have greeted the teaching community on the occasion of Teachers’ Day, which commemorates the birth anniversary of former president of India, Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
“In our diverse society, with the passage of time, teachers’ responsibilities are constantly increasing. A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite imagination and instill love for learning among the students,” the governor said in his message.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu in his message said, “I take pride to salute our teachers as we are aware of the circumstances in which they perform their duties, especially in remote and rural areas, shaping the future of our state. I hope that this Teachers’ Day would re-instill in our teachers a sense of responsibility towards students, and of rededication to the cause of the world’s noblest profession.” (Raj Bhawan & CMO)
