ITANAGAR, Oct 11: Making a strong pitch for equal pay for equal works, the All Arunachal Pradesh Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Teachers’ Association (AASSATA) West Siang district unit has strongly supported the AASSATA Changlang Unit’s decision to file legal suit against the Government of Arunachal Pradesh for implementation of the Supreme Court’s verdict on “Equal pay for equal works”.
The AASSTA unit also endorsed the demand for grant of child care/maternity leave to the teachers serving under SSA in the state.
Further, it said that if necessary West Siang AASSATA unit will separately file legal suit on “Equal pay for equal works” for the benefits of SSA teachers in the state.
