ITANAGAR, Oct 3: The ‘Nai Talim Week’ was celebrated in all the schools and DIET colleges of the state from 26 Sep to 2 October 2018.
Accordingly, the schools and colleges in the state conducted various activities to promote Gandhi’s idea on basic education (learning through hand, heart and head).
Earlier, a four day workshop on Gandhi’s ‘Nai Talim’ was organised in the SCERT, here for lecturers of all the DIETs and school teachers of the state from 25 to 28 September.
The objective of the workshop was to promote Gandhi’s ideas on experiential learning though community engagement.
The Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education (MGNCRE) and Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India has recently launched the ‘Mahatma Gandhi Nai Talim Abhiyan’.
