ITANAGAR, Nov 13: Governor BD Mishra and Chief Minister Pema Khandu have conveyed their greetings on the occasion of Children’s Day, which commemorates the birth anniversary of India’s first prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru.
“Celebrating Children’s Day is about giving every child their right to grow into a happy, healthy and educated citizen of the country,” the governor said in his message, and expressed hope that the occasion would motivate parents to provide all possible opportunities to the children to grow with dignity.
The CM in his message paid tribute to Nehru and said children are the future of the country and “it is our prime duty to provide our children quality education and best upbringing to secure a successful future for them and for ourselves.”
He urged parents and guardians to instill morality and virtues in their wards and groom them to be responsible citizens. (Raj Bhavan and CMO)
