ITANAGAR, Dec 2: The deputy Chief Minister has warned the M/s T K Engineering Consortium Pvt. Ltd, the construction agency of National Highway – 415 (Itanagar to Banderdewa) to expedite the four-lane works or else face action.
Chowna Mein, who called a meeting of the agency and the PWD Highway, cautioned that if no satisfactory works are visible in the next few days, no option will be left with the Department but to initiate appropriate action against the firm.
He asked the M/s T K Engineering Consortium Pvt. Ltd. to complete the four-laning of road from Itanagar to Pappu-Nallah (Phase-I) by March 2019 as assured by them earlier.
There have been no visible construction activities in the last few days, Deputy Chief Minister said.
He said that the department have waited enough due to the long rainy season and that it is high time that the four-lane works of NH-415 from Banderdewa to Pappu Nallah is fast-tracked.
He stated that since there is very limited working period, there is no time to be wasted.
The DCM said that commuters especially the patients and pregnant women are facing a lot of problems due to the bad roads. (PRO, DCM )
