TAWANG, Dec 3: A meeting on Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Rurban Mission/ National Rurban Mission(NRUM) Phase III Dudungkhar, Tribal Cluster, at the DC’s conference hall here in Tawang district on Monday.
The objective of the meeting was to sensitise the heads of departments to actively participate in this mission.
Addressing the meeting, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj Special Secretary Nyali Ete informed that the mission’s aim is to identify a cluster of villages and provide it with facilities available in a city.
The four pilot projects of NRUM in Arunachal Pradesh are Tuting, Nafra, Seppa and Dudungkhar in Tawang.
The first phase of project was taken up in Tuting with a cluster of 13 villages.
The special secretary and his team will be visiting Dudungkhar area for ground visit on 4 December. (DIPRO)
