RONO HILLS, Dec 6: Members of Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU) under the banner of the RGU Explore Arunachal (RGUEA) recently visited Pakke-Kessang, Papu and Seppa in East Kameng district on a goodwill mission.
During the course of the tour, RGU Controller of Exams (in-charge) Dr Nani Tamang Jose inaugurated One Life Foundation School on the outskirts of Seppa. The school, which is being run by an RGU alumnus, Krishna Tajo, will cater to the needs of poor villagers and orphans.
RGU Joint Registrar Dr David Pertin lauded Tajo’s effort to bring quality education to the less privileged populace, and pledged to sponsor an orphan’s education at the school.
The team, which included RGU Deputy Registrar Kurian Thomas, Physical Education HoD Dr Anil Mili, the programme’s convenor Pitam Jomoh, and others, also visited the government college in Seppa and took stock of the college’s preparations for the university exams being conducted there.
