ITANAGAR, Dec 24: Governor BD Mishra and Chief Minister Pema Khandu have greeted the people of the state on the occasion of Good Governance Day.
The day is observed to commemorate the birth anniversary of former prime minister late Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
The governor in his message stressed the importance of “two universally accepted mantras” to ensure good governance: “First, last man in the last rung of the society should benefit from the initiatives of the government; and second, implementation of every scheme and project should be carried out with utmost honesty, indisputable integrity, complete accountability, proper audit, review and midcourse correction.”
The governor and the chief minister expressed hope that the day would inspire everyone to accept, adopt, and apply the tenets of good governance in letter and spirit, in the service of the nation. (Raj Bhavan and CMO)
