JIA, Mar 30: Thirty patients with severe prosthetic and orthotic problems were provided with wheelchairs, artificial limbs, knee braces, walkers, etc, during a free medical camp organized by the NHPC’s Dibang multipurpose project (DMP) here in Lower Dibang Valley district on Saturday.
Organized in association with Dibrugarh (Assam)-based Aditya Prosthetics & Orthotics Centre (APOC) and Roing-based NGO Amyaa, the camp was organized under the supervision of DMP Chief General Manager Biswajit Basu.
Drs Abijeet and Srikant along with a team of paramedics from the APOC distributed the aids and equipment. The medical team also provided free medicines to the people.
Among others, DMP DCMO Dr Namloo Nalo, Jia Banggo secretary Karik Passing and former panchayat members were present at the camp.
