ITANAGAR, Jul 1: The state unit of the National People’s Party (NPP) has said it will take “serious action” over the alleged anti-party activities committed by several of the party’s members during the last assembly and parliamentary elections in the state.
During a meeting chaired by state NPP president Gicho Kabak here on Monday, the party’s office bearers resolved to take action against those who indulged in activities against the official candidates of the party during the elections.
In order to streamline the state NPP’s youth and student fronts, the office bearers decided to dissolve the party’s youth and student fronts and reconstitute them shortly.
The participants at the meeting included state NPP vice presidents Anok Wangsa, JT Takam, Karto Kaye and Nima Sangey Saling, besides general secretaries and secretaries of the party.
