RAGA, Nov 22: Raga MLA Tarin Dakpe inspected various developmental activities during his four-day visit to Raga and Kamporijo circles of Kamle district from 17 November.
On 17 November, the MLA, along with the deputy commissioner and other HoDs, visited the Tamen-Dollungmukh NEC road, which has been lying defunct for many years.
Dakpe assured to have the work on the road started at the earliest. He also inspected the PMGSY road to Mengi Kabak village (in Kamporijo circle) and visited the 1800 mw Kamle hydropower project, under Tamen-Boasimla, which is being executed by the Jindal Power Limited.
The next day, the MLA chaired a meeting with the district’s HoDs, and urged them to “work as a team and not compromise with the quality of works.” He asked the officers to make Raga a model headquarters with all the basic amenities.
Dakpe also held a meeting with the families affected by the hydropower project, officers of the Jindal Power Ltd, and senior citizens on the same day.
Those who attended the meeting called for early start of the project.
On 19 November, the MLA inspected offices and schools, including the government higher secondary school (GHSS) here, and took stock of the condition of the offices and the schools.
On 20 November, the MLA inaugurated the School Week celebration of the Boasimla GHSS. He also held discussions with the members of the school management committee, the principal, and senior citizens regarding making the GHSS a model school. (DIPRO)
