AALO, Mar 7: West Siang DC Swetika Sachan stressed on preparing “comprehensive and productive vision documents, encompassing all welfare measures, by the departments within a stipulated time.”
Addressing a meeting here with the district’s HoDs on preparing vision documents for 2024-29, the DC on Friday also emphasized the need to form a monitoring committee to ban all kinds of fishing.
She also called for banning the sale of wet or dry local fishes, along with fish nets, in the markets, in order to conserve the aquatic lives in the river.
The Aalo Town Peoples’ Welfare and Development Society, led by its chairman Kento Ete, is preparing to tour different villages and nearby districts in order to evolve a uniform opinion on banning fishing and hunting. (DIPRO)
