CHANGLANG, Sep 1: The Changlang Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of Dao division recovered an AK-47, a sniper rifle and a pistol with ammunition and other incriminating evidence during a major operation against the NSCN (K) near Chinsa village in Changlang district on Thursday last.
Based on an intelligence input regarding presence of NSCN (K) cadres in Chinsa village trying to terrorize and carryout extortion, the Changlang battalion of AR swiftly launched an operation in the evening of August 29 last and recovered the guns and ammunition.
