SEIJOSA, Sept 2: School children were informed about issues like; child rights, POCSO Act and drug abuse during a day-long awareness-cum-orientation programme organized by the Pakke Kessang, Seijosa Branch of Arunachal Pradesh Women’s Welfare Society under the chairmanship of Seijosa Additional Deputy Commissioner here on Saturday.
Resource persons including SDPO, Medical Officer and Advocate, AT Tara spoke about POCSO Act, 2012 and criminal justice system, teenage pregnancy and its hazards besides, child rights,drug abuse and free-legal aid services.
Students of Govt. Secondary School, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Nivedita Vihar, Govt. Secondary School, Darlong and general public attended the programme.
