Naharlagun, Sep 6: A one-day awareness programme on “Consumer Rights and Responsibilities” was conducted by the Consumer Care Centre under Oju Welfare Association, Naharlagun at Oju Mission School on Wednesday.
Altogether, 49 students and staff of the school attended the programme.
Senior programme coordinator, Anju Michi explained about the various aspects of consumers’ rights, weights and measures, package commodities, product standardization etc, while Special Adoption Agency Project Manager, Kunjolata Rajbanshi spoke about misleading advertisements and food adulteration.
Further, school teacher, Kenpak Karga called upon the student community to spread awareness on consumer rights.
