Special Secretary assesses health delivery and performance

ITANAGAR, Sep 26: Special Secretary (Health & Family Welfare) cum Mission Director, State National Health Mission, Dr Tapasya Raghav, accompanied by a team of health officials, visited various health facilities and hospitals in Lower Subansiri district to get firsthand knowledge about healthcare delivery and performance under various health programmes.
En-route to Ziro on September 23, Dr Raghav visited CHC Yazali and interacted with the staff there. She encouraged them to deliver selfless services to realize the goal of “health for all” for all the members of the community.
She also visited all the wings of Gyati Takka General Hospital, Ziro on September 25 and interacted with the medical officers and other staffs to ensure quality client-friendly health services to the patients.
Later in the day, Dr Raghav held a review meeting with the health officials of Lower Subansiri, Upper Subansiri, Kurung Kumey and Kra Daadi. She encouraged them to perform and deliver health care services to the needy patients. Dr Raghav underscored the importance of timely reporting on the performance accurately for evidence based planning and resource allocation.
Dr Tara Taku, NO (T&P) and Dr Tana Natung, NO (MCH), stressed the need for timely and accurate reporting, which according to them, are the corner stone for effective planning and implementation of any health programme.
During her return journey, the Special Secretary visited Joram Health Sub-Centre and Yachuli PHC and exhorted the health officials and staff to discharge their duty with utmost dedication and professionalism.
Dr Raghav was accompanied by Director (Finance & Accounts), NHM, Habung Yangbow, Nodal Officer (Procurement cum Training), NHM Dr Tara Taku and Nodal Officer (Maternal & Child Health), NHM Dr Tana Natung.
