APDA threatens to go on mass casual leave

ITANAGAR, Oct 1: The members of Arunachal Pradesh Doctors Association (APDA) have threatened to go on mass causal leave on October 7 and 9 in protest against non-fulfilment of their demands.
The APDA has been demanding immediate amendment of the APHS Cadre Rule 2000 and framing of Recruitment Rule of Director Medical Education (T&R) and Director Family Welfare and cancellation of the recent appointment order (No HFW-34/2017).
“Despite the verbal assurance given by the Chief Minister, the government has recently appointed four Directors on officiating basis without conducting the Departmental Promotional Committee (DPC) which is in total violation of the directives of High Court,” the APDA stated in a release.
The Association members throughout the state on September 30 launched democratic movement wearing black badges in protest against non-compliance of their demand.
Further, the doctors have threatened to continue its protest by wearing black badges till October 6 to be followed by mass casual leave in the second phase of the democratic movement, APDA said in its memorandum to the Chief Minister.
