DC displeased with teacher absenteeism at govt. schools

KRA DAADI, Oct 11: Displeased over teacher absenteeism at Joru Middle School, Kra Daadi Deputy Commissioner, Pige Ligu has directed the DDSE Kra Daadi to inquire into the matter.
Ligu, who visited Chambang and inspected various government infrastructures on Monday last found that there was not a single teacher or student in the campus of Joru Middle School. He directed the DDSE to inquire as to why the school appeared defunct despite a number of building structures built with funding from Ministry of Tribal Affairs.
At Rissi IV School, the DC directed DDSE and DPO to expedite construction of 40 bedded girls hostel constructed under MSDP while, at Tahu village, Ligu directed the BDO to expedite construction and handover of the sub-centre constructed under MSDP to the medical department soon. He further instructed the DPO to release 2nd installment only after one month of satisfactory occupation of the building by the medical department. Also, Ligu urged EE PHED to ensure a dedicated pipeline for the girls hostel at Challo village.
At Chambang, the DC directed EE PWD to replace the CGI Sheet roofing of the stadium’s gallery and to fill up the ground with fine soil to make the stadium usable. He also directed DDSE to take over the 40 bedded girls hostel and science laboratory at Chambang. He also found that the housing structure built by the Forest department has no approach road and the structures are disintegrating. Later, the DC constituted a committee to enquire into the matter and directed it to submit a comprehensive report to him within a month. (DIPRO)
