ACS question motive of sending MLAs to London

ITANAGAR, Oct 15: The Arunachal Civil Society (ACS) has raised concern over decision to send MLAs to London for an exposure tour.
Recently, state government took the decision to send 27 MLAs to London for leadership training on e-governance.
“As per record available, there is no written invitation from UK Government or reputed institutions inviting Arunachal Legislators for E-Governance training at London. This is unnecessary wastage of public money considering the fact that Pema Khandu led Government is facing financial crunch. Instead crores of money can be used in other important development work,” stated ACS. Further it has put up three major queries to the state government regarding the proposed visit.
It wanted to know whether legislators has done any basic computer trainings or courses before going for advance training on e-governance.It further questioned the need of going to London when India is a known IT hub which produces brilliant minds in IT sector.
It suggested that instead of sending the legislators to London, training should be done at Itanagar.
ACS has termed the whole move as illogical and unnecessary wastage of State Exchequer money.
