Turn attention to poor infrastructure

The decision of state cabinet to create 1,309 teaching and non-teaching posts under the Education Department is expected to change the education scenario in the government funded schools. Massive number of Science and Mathematics teachers will be recruited as part of the recruitment drive initiated by the government of Arunachal. Hopefully this will address the demand of subject teachers which keeps on pouring in from across the state. One of the main reasons for poor performance of the students of government school in CBSE exams is believed to be shortage of science and math teachers.
Now the onus lies with Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission to ensure that proper recruitment process is done, so that the best candidate gets selected. With the issue of subject teacher being taken care, the state government should give attention towards improving the infrastructure of government schools. The condition of majority of government school is in pathetic condition and it requires the urgent intervention of education department. Also in all the government schools biometric attendance system should be made compulsory to check the menace of teacher absenteeism.
