Training on skill development & employment generation concludes

ITANAGAR, Oct 26: A month long training programme on Skill Development & Employment generation under BADP, Tirap district concluded on Thursday here at State Forest Research Institute (SFRI).
Giving away the certificates to candidates who have successfully completed their training, SFRI Director N Tam appreciated the trainees and resource persons for the dedication shown during the entire training period, including indoor and outdoor exposure trips.
He also acknowledged his gratitude to Deputy Commissioner of Tirap district for initiating such a skill development training programme for unemployed youth of the state.
Divisional Forest Officer, Silviculture Division, Nani Sha advised trainees to work hard and make best use of knowledge acquired from the training.
Managing Director of Poma Bamboo Processing Centre, Techi Rotu asked the trainees to supply their product to Poma Bamboo Processing Centre. He also agreed to support in the marketing of their products.
SFRI Scientist R K Taj informed that the products made by trainees are of international standard, and asked trainees to use the knowledge acquired for self employment. He also suggested them to form SHGs, farmers club, etc and start the activities on enterprise mode.
