ITANAGAR, Nov 7: Chairing the meeting of District Registering Officers of Arunachal Pradesh Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (APB&OCWWB) at Itanagar, Minister Labour & Employment, Kumar Waii emphasized on all the ROs to work extra hard so that benefits of the board reach to the registered workers.
Waii also directed the board chairman Jalley Sonam and member secretary to formulate plans to enhance staff salary of the board.
Emphasizing on the need to streamline the functioning of the board, Sonam suggested that all awareness camps, health camps and skill development training camps be done through the Registering Officer of the particular district. He further suggested all beneficiaries to collect the cheques from their respective registering officers and called for putting a stop on issuing cheques from the head office.
Registering Officers presented their respective status report, while Secretary of the board, Ojing Darung also gave his inputs.
