ITANAGAR, Nov 15: Measles-Rubella Vaccination Campaign will be conducted throughout the State during February, 2018 targeting children of age 9 months to below 15 years.
The (Measles-Rubella) vaccine would be introduced into the routine immunization programme, which will be available free of cost at every Government Health Facility of the State.
As a part of preparedness, the first batch state level training of district level trainers was held on November 14 and 15 at Dibrugarh, Assam (for 8 eastern districts) with the technical and logistic supports from WHO, UNICEF, ITSU and Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.
State Immunization Officer Dr D Padung stressed on house to house survey, listing and meticulous planning adhering to the guidelines for the success of the immunization campaign.
DHS Dr M Lego exhorted all the participants to adhere to timelines provided by the state.
Jt. DHS FW Dr S Bhattacharjee underscored the importance on awareness generation for maximum immunization coverage.
Preparatory activities such as workshops, meetings, training/ orientation of health service providers including ASHAs and AWWs are also being organized.
