YUPIA, Nov 20: The online draw for new LPG distributorship for 11 areas and locations was held in the office of the Papum Pare Deputy Commissioner here on Monday.
The online draw was held for Mengio, Pangin, Ruksin, Hayuliang, Namsai, Geku, Sangram, Tuting, Maryang, Kaying and Rumgong.
Deputy Commissioner Tai Kaye conducted the online draw process under the guidance of IOC officials.
This is also for the first time that the Oil Marketing Companies are undertaking selection of LPG distribution through online draw process. This is an initiative of the Government of India to promote the Digital India movement and to bring more transparency and accountability in the selection process.
This new LPG distributorship will help foster enhanced accessibility and availability of LPG and provide quality services to the customers.
Director, Food and Civil Supplies Liyon Borang, SDO (Yupia) L Bodong and senior officials from IOC were present during the online draw process. (DIPRO)
