In a release, the block Congress Committee has urged the Lower Subansiri district administration for immediate disbursement of compensation amount to the project affected people between KM 51.700 to KM 52.960 (Design chainages) of 1.260 KM.
Withholding the payment of compensation amount is discriminatory in nature, it said.
In a memorandum to the Lower Subansiri Deputy Commissioner, the Congress party of Ziro demanded publication of names of the TAH affected people with their details for claims and objection, if any.
It further said that names of beneficiaries with the compensation amount received should be made public.

The payment made by the district administration is only for seven meters, whereas the payment sanctioned by the Government of India was for 12 meters, it further alleged and demanded white paper for transparency in the TAH project implementation.
