CHANGLANG, Nov 23: Minister for Food and Civil Supplies Kamlung Mossang visited Changlang with a team of legislators and officials to assess the progress of all major infrastructure projects, besides state and centrally sponsored schemes under SADA 2017-18 for Changlang district under the Sankalp se Siddhi Tak- New India Manthan programme on Thursday.
Joined by parliamentary secretaries Phosum Khimhun, Laisam Simai, Tesam Pongte and Special Secretary for Health and Family Welfare, Tapasya Raghav at a meeting in the Changlang Guest House, Mossang said that the objective of their visit was to ensure that the flagship programmes of both the state and centre peculates down to the actual beneficiaries.
He exhorted all the executing agencies to put all efforts to achieve the target, and asked them to follow rules and guidelines of the government while implementing its programme and policies.
However, he also acknowledged the difficulties in implementing central schemes in some of the places of the state due to its rough terrain, unfavourable climate, remoteness, etc.
Presenting the status of the schemes under Sankalp se Siddhi Tak, Special Secretary Raghav made a request to attending officials to make the needy people in the district aware of these schemes.
Khimhun and Simai also highlighted the importance of availing the benefits of state and central schemes and appealed to the departments to work on mission mode for their successful implementation.
