ITANAGAR, Nov 24: Legislative Assembly Speaker T N Thongdok on Wednesday inaugurated the Gajani Bridge (at 35.8 km point) along Orang- Kalaktang-Shergaon-Rupa-Tenga (OKSRT) road.
The double lane road has total 19 bridges. So far, 11 bridges have been completed and 8 are in various stages of completion.
If completed, the road will not only reduce the travelling time between Guwahati and Bomdila/Tawang but also bolster the socio-economic growth in the region and promote tourism in a big way, said the Speaker after inaugurating the bridge.
Chief Engineer Vartak (BRO) 14 BRTF, 1441 BCC KP Purushothaman also spoke on the occasion.
The Speaker was accompanied by Kalaktang ZPM, ADC (in-charge) and EE, RWD, Singchung.
