Mortal remains of Tado laid to rest

ITANAGAR, Nov 25: The mortal remains of former Koloriang MLA, late Lokam Tado were laid to rest as hundreds of well-wishers and family members arrived at his Chimpu residence on Saturday and offered their last respects.
Various legislators and public leaders, including PWD Parliamentary Secretary Techi Kaso, Advisor to Chief Minister Tai Tagak, PPA Chairman Kamen Ringu, PPA President Kahfa Bengia, besides members of Lokam Welfare Society, PRI members of Kurung Kumey district and Capital Complex attended the funeral and paid floral tribute.
In a condolence message, Governor Dr B D Mishra said that in the passing away of Tado, who represented the then 7-Koloriang Assembly Constituency, the state has lost a senior statesman and a social reformer who worked against child marriage and dowry system in his area.
Joining the people of Koloriang and the state of Arunachal Pradesh, the Governor prayed for fortitude to the members of the bereaved family to bear the loss and for the eternal peace to the departed soul.
The rank and file of the National People’s Party (NPP) Arunachal Pradesh deeply mourned the death of the veteran political leader, who passed away at Chimpu here on Friday.
In a condolence message, the NPP said, the state and its people have lost a renowned social worker and perfect gentlemen, who dedicated his life for the welfare of people of the state. Tado will be always remembered by the people for his humble nature and honesty. His departure has created a vacuum in his family as well as in the society and the state.
The state NPP prayed to the Almighty for the eternal peace of his departed soul and to bestow strength to the bereaved family members to bear the irreparable loss.
