BORDUMSA: Nov 29: The Fisheries Department of Changlang organized a three-day training programme on “Development of Wetland Fishery” in Bordumsa sub-division.
In total, 50 fish farmers participated in the programme, which was sponsored by the NFDB, Hyderabad.
Bordumsa ADC, S Tayeng suggested the farmers to take up fish farming in commercial way by adopting scientific methods. Changlang DFDO, Mihin Tapin urged the participants to take full advantage of such training programmes to upgrade their knowledge on fisheries and aquaculture.
Resource persons, Dr Phoang Aboh, SMS AS&V, H C Nath, FO, Namsai and Dusu Nobin, FO, Changlang imparted training on various aspects of wetland fisheries and aquaculture.
Trainees were also taken for exposure visit to see cage culture and pen culture of fish at Borebeel, Namsai on second day of the training.
