Capital Complex qualifies for final round
ITANAGAR, Dec 1: Capital Complex held Arunachal Pradesh Police (APP) to a 1-1 draw in a zonal qualifying round match of Zone-5 to secure place in the final round of the 16th Tadar Tang State Level Football Tournament at RG Stadium, Naharlagun, Friday.
It was a must win match for the APP whereas Capital Complex just needed a draw to advance to the next round.
Under the must win situation, APP started on an attacking note and put pressure on Capital Complex citadel with repeated raids. APP’s scoring chance came in the first half when the team earned a penalty kick. Kaya Sangno did not miss the spot kick to put his team ahead in the first half.
Capital Complex bounced back strongly in the second half and equalized in 70th minute through goal from RD Karma.
Papum Pare is another team from Zone-5 qualified for the final round.
