ANYA defers bandh

ITANAGAR, Dec 11: The All Nyishi Youth Association (ANYA) on Monday informed that it has deferred its proposed 12-hour capital bandh, which had been scheduled for 15 December.
ANYA Spokesperson Khyoda Ajin informed that due to unavoidable circumstances, such as the inaugural of Kamle district, Anna Hazare’s state visit, college examinations, and upcoming Christmas celebrations, the association has decided to defer the bandh “till further order.”
However, the ANYA maintained that its movement would continue with due consultation among its executive members “and other like-minded people.”
The association had served an ultimatum to the state government, demanding immediate resignation of Chief Minister Pema Khandu for his alleged remark against the Nyishi people by allegedly comparing Palin MLA Takam Pario to a ‘dog’ during his Assembly session speech on 14 October.
