KHONSA, Dec 19: The Khonsa and Jairampur battalions of the Assam Rifles recently undertook a military civic action (MAC) project for providing medical aid to the villagers of Horuchinghan and surrounding villages in Tirap district.
Altogether 216 patients in Horuchinghan, Chinghan, Noglo, and Lonyan villages were provided medical assistance, including free medical consultation and medicines.
The RMO and staff of the battalions’ medical platoon also conducted a health awareness education class for the villagers.
Meanwhile, AR officials also distributed sports equipment at schools in Jairampur, Nampong, Jagun, and Miao in Changlang district. (PRO Defence)
