BOMDILA, Jan 3: A daylong orientation workshop of the Education department and Women and Child Development (WCD) department on Measles Rubella Vaccination Campaign (MRVC) was organised by the District Health Society on Wednesday at the Deputy Commissioner’s conference hall here.
DMO Dr D Wange briefed on the roles and responsibilities of personnel under the education, health and WCD departments in the forthcoming MRVC, while Deputy Commissioner Dr Sonal Swaroop also called for collaborative efforts from the departments for the campaign’s success.
DRCHO Dr TD Namsa gave a PowerPoint presentation on MRVC explaining the importance of the vaccine and the strategy required to be implemented at schools and Angadwadi centres during preparatory phase of the MRVC, besides steps that need be taken up during and post campaign.
The orientation workshop was also attended by ICDS Deputy Director Lian Moyee, DDSE in-charge LD Komu, BEOs, APOs, CDPOs, BRCs, CRCs, supervisors ICDS, and principals and headmasters of various schools under West Kameng district.
