ROING, Feb 2: The Lower Dibang Valley district police, in collaboration with the HPCL and the Golden Jubilee Central Reh Celebration Committee organised a community outreach programme at the general ground here on Friday.
Various articles, including computer sets, almirahs, desks and benches, children’s park articles and CCTVs were distributed among 10 schools of the district.
An initiative of SP Sanjay Kumar Sain, the programme was organised as a part of community policing.
Rajya Sabha Member Mukut Mithi lauded the Police department for the initiative and said the programme showed the other side of police duty.
Local MLA Mutchu Mithi, Parliamentary Secretary Gum Tayeng and Deputy Commissioner Mitali Namchoom were also present at the function.
