ITANAGAR, Feb 6: The All Arunachal Pradesh Elementary Teachers’ Association submitted a six-point memorandum to the education minister on Tuesday, requesting him to look into its demands at the earliest.
The association’s demands include early complying of the bifurcation order dated 28 October, 2010, under which the directorate of school education has been bifurcated into elementary education and secondary education directorates; creation of posts of district elementary education officers; creation of posts of full-time head teachers; creation of more BEO posts; preparation and circulation of seniority lists of BEOs, JTs and ATs; and advanced convening of the departmental promotion committee.
