NAMSAI, Feb 9: Over 250 students from different schools in Mahadevpur, Tezu, Roing and Changlang attended a five-day INSPIRE internship science camp held at the Arunachal University of Studies (AUS) here from 1 to 5 February.
INSPIRE, or ‘Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research’, is a programme sponsored by the science & technology department to attract talented students towards the study of science at an early stage of their education, ie, at class 11 and 12.
The camp was inaugurated by Shobit University Chancellor Kunwar Shekher Vijendra, in the presence of AUS Chancellor Kamal Lochan, Pro-Chancellor Prof KG Goel, and Visitor Akhil Bakshi,.
Mentors were invited from different Science streams to deliver lectures on their fields of specialization. The students were also taken to an agriculture field to learn about the morphological identification of field crops, identification of field crop diseases, and the importance and scope of ongoing research in this field.
