ITANAGAR, Feb 12: Noted poet and writer Mamang Dai received the Sahitya Akademi Award from the academy’s president Chandrashekhara Kambara in New Delhi on Monday.
Celebrating the occasion, the Arunachal Pradesh Literary Society, led by its president YD Thongchi, said the conferring of the prestigious award on Dai has once again brought to the fore the talent of Arunachalees.
“Dai as a role model would continue to inspire young writers and poets of the state to continue to work in the field,” Thongchi said.
