PASIGHAT, Feb 16: Around 700 commercial vehicles representing various associations under the All Arunachal Pradesh Public Transport Federation (AAPPTF) took out a ‘traffic awareness rally’ organised here by the East Siang district unit of the AAPPTF on Friday.
The rally, which was flagged off by SP Prashant Gautam, was aimed at inculcating awareness among the public about traffic rules.
Speaking on the occasion, District Transport Officer C Wangsu stressed on observing traffic rules, and urged the people to “become role models for the youths by avoiding reckless driving.”
The SP also urged the public to observe traffic rules, and assured his support to activities aimed at making Pasighat better.
The AAPPTF’s East Siang unit president Gemin Modi emphasized on using helmets and seatbelts, and obeying traffic rules. He appealed to parents not to provide vehicles to underage teenagers.
