ITANAGAR, Feb 24: The upcoming Losar festival celebration in the Capital Complex is set to be held here at the Nyokum Lapang ground by the Itanagar Buddhist Cultural Society (IBCS) from 2 to 4 March.
Inviting everyone to participate in the three-day celebration, Losar Festival Celebration 2018 chairman and IBCS president Sonam Tenzing said that the festival will be a cultural mosaic of all Buddhist communities of the state.
While most events will be Buddhist community-centric, participants from other communities will be allowed to participate in events like archery, kolokpa and shot put.
Tenzing informed that to ensure that the rates of the food items sold in the stalls are minimum the stalls were assigned with a meagre fee of Rs 2000 as opposed to Rs 25000 during other festivals.
There will also be a community feast where anyone can come and enjoy the meal for free, he informed.
