RAGA, Mar 4: The All Kamle District Students’ Union (AKDSU), in a representation to the deputy commissioner, requested for putting a halt on earth cutting activities in the Boori Boot ground here, claiming that haphazard land developing is putting the government higher secondary school of Raga in grave danger.
The AKDSU stated that due to massive land development, landslide is occurring near the school and causing significant damages. They pointed out that the earth cutting activity has the school at risk of collapsing due to landslide, thereby putting students and teachers in danger.
The union further informed that additional fund under the SIDF has been approved for Boori-Boot land development in the current financial year and requested the district administration to direct the Ziro PWD not to carry out further earth cutting.
