Training for NNM master trainers held

NAHARLAGUN, Mar 10: The four-day training for Master Trainers of National Nutrition Mission (NNM) was organized at the Directorate of Women and Child Development department here from 6 to 9 March.
The training, which was conducted by Jaimon Thomas, Program Manager of Patna based Care India, mainly focused on using ICDS-CAS application software which Anganwadi workers will use for real time monitoring.
Under this mission, Anganwadi workers and supervisors will be provided smart phones to record daily activities and nutritional status of every child.
In the closing ceremony, WCD Director T P Loyi expressed hope that NNM and real time monitoring will help in reducing the stunting amongst children. She requested the master trainers from the district to work hard for the success of the mission.
The NNM was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 8th March.
From Arunachal Pradesh, two ICDS projects, namely Seppa and Pakke Kessang have been identified for the first phase roll out under the mission.
